Business Central fulfillment with FSN
Business Central ⟷ FSN

Business Central fulfillment, with merchants and warehouses included.

Business Central already manages your items, stock and sales orders. But it cannot find you new merchants or free warehouse space. A one-time setup in Microsoft connects you to FSN and brings both to you.

How it works

You have the products. FSN brings the partners.

Business Central runs your business. FSN connects you to the merchants, warehouses and suppliers who are already in the network.

What you share
  • Your products, as they areProducts, variants and barcodes (EAN) stay in Business Central. FSN only picks up what has changed.
  • Your stock, liveOne stock feed for all partners, instead of a separate spreadsheet for each one.
  • Your rulesYou choose the products, countries and partners. Nothing goes live without your approval.
What you get
  • Merchants looking for fulfillmentYou see their order volumes, product types and countries before you agree to anything.
  • Warehouses with free spaceLocation, product types, carriers and daily shipping deadlines, visible before you ask.
  • Products from suppliersAdd supplier products with barcodes, images and live stock, and sell them under your own brand.
  • Shipping labels and trackingThe right carrier account is chosen for each parcel. Tracking from every carrier arrives in one format.

What the Business Central connection does

Data flows in one direction only, on purpose. Business Central stays your main system. FSN only reads from it and never changes your bookings.

  • Your IT admin registers FSN once as an app in Microsoft Entra, gives it access (app_access) and copies four IDs into FSN. Nothing is installed in Business Central.
  • FSN reads through the standard Business Central interface (API v2.0): items with variants and categories, stock movements, released sales orders, and posted sales invoices with their PDF.
  • Drafts stay hidden. Only released orders and posted invoices are transferred, and a document that was already imported is skipped, never duplicated.
  • FSN sets up the change notifications (webhooks) in Business Central itself and renews them twice a day, because Business Central lets them expire after about three days. You do not need to enter anything in Business Central.

FAQ

Do we have to leave Business Central or change how we work?

No. Business Central stays your main system, and FSN only reads from it. Your team keeps releasing orders and posting invoices as before; FSN picks them up from there.

Does FSN write anything back into Business Central?

Not yet. The connection only reads, on purpose: items, stock, released orders, posted invoices and posted shipments go from Business Central to FSN. Fulfillment status and tracking are shown in FSN. Writing back is already prepared and can be switched on later.

Business Central or Finance & Operations?

Business Central. Everything here uses the standard Business Central interface (API v2.0). Finance & Operations uses a different interface and would need its own connector.

What permissions does the app need?

Your IT admin sets this up in Microsoft Entra: Dynamics 365 Business Central → Application permissions → app_access (or Financials.ReadWrite.All), with admin consent. Then the app is registered once inside Business Central. In FSN you enter the tenant ID, environment, company ID and client ID. The secret is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Is FSN part of Microsoft?

No. FSN is an independent fulfillment network. We connect through the official, published Business Central API, like any other third-party integration.

What does it cost?

Merchants pay a flat $49 per month — no per-order fee, no setup cost. Warehouses, fulfilment partners and suppliers use the network for free.

Who sees our data?

A partner only sees what they need to handle the order. Your customer data stays with you. FSN stores the product matches, the routing rules and a log of what happened — not a copy of your business history.
